Dear Friends and Family,
When we began planning this wedding at the end of 2020, we hoped that we had selected a date far enough away that we could wed without thinking much about the novel coronavirus and the disease it causes, COVID-19. Unfortunately, we must do so, and we ask you to join us in keeping us, yourselves, and our mutual friends and family safe while we focus on joy! love! marriage! celebration!
We are asking that anyone who is eligible for vaccination against COVID-19 who will not be vaccinated stay home in order to protect our more vulnerable family members and friends. We are asking that anyone planning to attend who is eligible to be vaccinated send us a photo or other proof of their up-to-date vaccination status to the email macandchandler@gmail.com. There is still time to complete the two-shot series of mRNA vaccines before April 23rd if you start now!
We strongly recommend that anyone traveling by air to celebrate with us in person take either a PCR test or the 2-test series of rapid antigen home tests before getting on the plane, to reduce the chance that you might have to quarantine in Georgia! Depending on the COVID infection rates in Fulton and DeKalb counties, we may require (and provide) rapid tests before the event for all guests.
The wedding ceremony will be completely outdoors (in our backyard! we don't recommend stiletto heels!), and the reception venue is nearly entirely outdoors as well, though true social distancing will not be possible. We do plan to place air purifiers with HEPA filters in the indoor areas of the brewery as well. We may ask guests to wear masks at the ceremony and the reception while not eating or drinking, but that will also depend on transmission rates at the time.
We will update everyone in mid-April with more details about our specific policies once we know more about whatever variant is spreading at the time! In the meantime, email us your vax card.
